The ol' Lady is finally ours
She commands much respect after many years of neglect and old age. We hope to restore and put wonderful memories, warmth and elbow grease back into this old farm house.
Cleaning is underway and I have already smudged. Soon we will be up there for some painting and moving in.
My hubby has already stayed his first night night in the house with Daisy dog. She was extremely nervous all night.
The girls and I got to have our first sleep over at our friends house in the hood and we all experienced our first snow storm in the area.
There are plans for some Rhode Island Reds in the spring; eggs in the summer. A great veggie garden, we just need to work on a good fence to keep the ground hogs and deer out. My good friend has envisioned a beautiful labyrinth in the herb garden. I see a nice fire pit in the middle of the labyrinth circle. Enchanting.
My pal Susan asked if we had performed a ritual upon entering the ol' girl. Nope no ritual but we did have the joy of listening to four little girls filling the house with laughter and hide and seek as we walked through with a friend and circle-mate. What better blessing could there be? We know after lots of elbow grease, good wine and friends and family gracing our doorstep we will have an awesome home up there. I can't wait to have the power of my circle-mates walk through and bless the space in Jan.
