A necklace for Princess Amelia

Z and I set to work on a homemade gift for our little friend Amelia's 3rd birthday.

I set Z up with a tub of soapy water in the sink of my studio and she began felting the beads after I lightly needled them into shape.

Once they were prepared I helped her finish up with the felting.

Soapy little finished beads or as he worked she called them fish and they did a lot of swimming with their family in the tub of water.

Once they were rinsed and dried, I needle felted a little flower and strung the beads on a silk string with a magnetic clasp. ( sorry this pic is not right but you get the idea.)

Mercury Slippers

Mercury slippers project gleaned from Kneek for my Waldorf Homeschool Coop group. Our kids needed some magic slippers to wear when entering the learning space. These are my example slippers for felting workshop I gave to the group.

We began the project and I need to put the finishing touches on it. Beautiful and interesting conversations came from the group of mom's sitting around brainstorming our little class while needling and felting and fulling our little slippers.
