Sleepover Weekend to celebrate the arrival of chicks

Our pals came up again to celebrate the arrival of the chicks.

Yes... do I look big enough?

The chicks are now one week old, growing wing feathers and starting to grow tail feathers. One little black araucana seems to have a sweet and curious personality. Z's friend H named the babe Midnight.
There was a worm hunt in the back yard which ended in a feeding frenzy. How fun! They faught over the worms and ran around really fast . Lots of laughs from kids and moms alike. It was kind of like a watching a basketball game. The poor worms went this way and that way. From this chick to that one. The chicks were so excited with lots of churping and racing around.
The birds got so much attention all day that by Sunday when the friends and family went home the little peeps slept and slept.

The trees are at the end of there maple sugaring season but that didn't stop the girls from tasting the sweet water.
