Bringing our little lovely into the world

Our little lovely is 3 months old today and I have not written about how wonderful the experience was of having her. She was a pound heavier than my other two girls and the easiest birth of all three... I will spare you the beautiful video.

June 1st 12am

I thought I had to get up for one of many pee breaks in my nightly routine. At the end, waiting too long to go the bathroom usually resulted in false contractions. This time I needed help getting up. Ant helped me out of bed and down the hall. After I snuggle back in with my lovey and 35 minutes passed I had a stronger contraction. Then two little ones in between the next 35 minute. After 3 I called my pal Susan and let her know that I thought it was time. Ant and I went down stairs to the guest bedroom so I didn't wake the girls with any ups and downs.

The next stage brought contractions 15 minutes apart. Ant called the midwife and Susan again. He began filling the tub in our guest bath. It is a custom tiled tub about 4x4.5' in size and perfect for birthing. I tried to keep some good laboring going outside the pool so I didn't get in and slow anything down. Once my legs felt tired I settled into the warm soothing water and aahhhh the boiancy was amazing to my overplump thighs and my now overworked feet. I still labored upright as long as possible with the belly out of the water to keep the gravity working. By the time the Martha Roth and her student assistant Judith arrived I was in deep. Anthony wanted asked if I need him in with me but I wanted to until Susan and Carrie got here. They would be able to secure the girls.
