Michaelmas

There was a war in heaven, Michael and his angels against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought, but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world – he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

       Revelation 12:7-9

St. Michael is the good patron saint for community. He symbolizes strong religion, a joyful religion, a religion of service to God and to others. He is also a warrior saint, who does not back down at the prospect of a confrontation with Evil. His name means ‘who is like God?’ 

St. Michael is also the patron saint for policemen, firemen, soldiers and all those who place themselves, their lives and futures, between Evil and the innocent.

In our community Michaelmas is celebrated with a pageant 

      

At home we make bread and however what you see above is the dragons evil retaliation. hehe

We shape our bread in the shape of the dragon to be slain later with some butter and dragon scale soup.

On Sunday we will be preparing the Michaelmas 501 biodynamic prep for the farm and spraying the farm.
