The Lillyzoo this Weekend

It s time for maple sugaring the trees are tapped and the sap is flowing!

Anthony got his new milling attachment frame for his chainsaw to mill down the live edge lumber in the yard. Here he and Z are working on a red maple in the yard.

I made Carrot Orange Juice this morning and then made muffins with the pulp.

Carwalin Muffins

1.5 C Unbleached White Flour
.5 C Oat Bran
1.5 tsp baking power
.5 tsp baking soda
.5 tsp ground cinnamon
.25 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 C milk
.75 C light brown sugar, packed
.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 C carrot pulp from juicing
.5 C walnuts
.5 C raisins

Preheat oven at 350 degrees F. Oil muffin tin

Sift together dry ingredients

In a separate bowl mix eggs, milk, brown sugar, carrots and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Add the dry ingredients. Fold in walnuts and raisins.

Bake for 15 mins, turn and bake 15 mins more. Let cool for 10mins

Butter up and eat.

Two new additions to the house to replace the eyesores that I have been living with for the past year.
