lollygaggin in a LillyZoo

Just an update... No baby yet. the girls and I decided to call babe turkey lurky since I look like I have eaten an entire turkey.

Out on the range of our little homestead this is whats happenin.

Dad is working on solar heating the house next winter with the help of these handy solar collectors and some radiant flooring.

Here he is braising the header pipes to the heat collecting fin tube he ordered. Each panel (2) is 20 feet long and 10 ft high. They will heat water which will be pumped underground into the cellar to an insulated water storage tank and then pumped through out the house in radiant flooring. A has more pictures of his project which maybe I can get him to blog later.

He has had the help of Gary at builditsolar.com. The guy is an amazing engineer and was featured in an article in Mother Earth News a while back. He provides a "non-commercial" website full of useful information, plans, and calculators.

The girls found a nest of baby robins low in one of our great big cedars.

The neighbors ducks are always waddling around by the stream.

If you sneak up really carefully you can usually see some ginormous snapping turtles sunning in the pond. Here the floating logs are empty. Z had flip flops on.

There is the stream out back.
